Anthony teaches several 6 Day Colt starts throughout the year at various locations. These incorporate 3 days of handling, haltering, saddling & riding unstarted or young horses. They will do extensive groundwork, they will be moved around in a herd to learn to accept the saddles & this allows them to feel confident & release any tensions or uncertainties with this new experience.
We find this allows them to accept a saddle & rider in a much better way & allows the riders to have the ability to help the horse & control the feet, which in turn controls the mind.
If new to Colt starting it is a great way to commence starting young horses under saddle. Setting them up with the right foundation to get the best start they can. We want this to be trouble free.
It allows the rider to also learn to be more relaxed, in time & gain softness with what they ask of the horse.
